Dialog Box: Copy Command Line to Clipboard

Command line field

If you selected a predefined analysis configuration, this dialog box displays the command line required to launch the selected analysis type for your analysis target from the command line interface on your local system. You may click the Copy button to copy this command line to clipboard and then paste and run it from command line interface. You may also paste this command line to a remote machine with the VTune Amplifier command line interface installed, update the path to the analysis target and run the remote analysis.

Use -collect-with action check box

Enable low-level collection options (-collect-with action) to generate a command line for the selected analysis type. Unlike the -collect option that takes an analysis type name as an argument, the -collect-with option requires the name of a collector, which is similar to creating a custom analysis type in GUI.

Using the -collect-with option is convenient if you generate a command line for a custom analysis and plan to run it on a remote machine. In this case you can run this analysis without copying a corresponding configuration file to the remote machine.

Hide knobs with default values check box

Enable to hide knobs with default values and make the command line shorter and easier to read (recommended).

Including default knob values makes the command line more self-contained and informative.

Custom analysis type file location field

If you created a custom analysis configuration and want to use it remotely, you need to click the Copy button in this field to locate your analysis configuration file and copy it manually to your remote machine.
