Go* Applications Support

Use the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier to run hardware event-based sampling analysis of Go* application.

Intel® VTune™ Amplifier supports hardware event-based sampling analysis for compiled Go* applications.

Before running an analysis, use the Source Search button to specify paths for your application source files, so the VTune will be able to resolve the functions and display information in relation to your source code.

Supported analysis types

VTune Amplifier supports Go applications analysis with the following analysis types:

Advanced Hotspots
General Exploration
Custom Hardware Event-based Sampling Analysis

Limitations

VTune Amplifier supports Go applications analysis with some limitations:

Only Go applications compiled with a compiler version 1.6 and later are supported.
The Go application should be compiled for a 64-bit system.
Currently, the VTune Amplifier does not show call stacks for an analysis running on Windows systems.
